The U.S.S. Cerritos is a California-class starship that is tasked with making second contact, offering engineering support and making supply runs. It's the star of Star Trek: Lower Decks, and is where Mariner and Boimler served their time as ensigns.

It was created for the Star Trek: Enterprise story ""In A Mirror Darkly,"" when we discovered that the one of the Enterprise’s sister ships, the U.S.S. Defiant from the original series, had been sent to the Mirror Universe. Concept artist Doug Drexler created the artwork as if it were for the original Enterprise. He was inspired by the kind of graphics that were used on the original show and it shows several familiar locations including the bridge, sickbay, the briefing room and main engineering.
