Battles in Time presents the next in its line of limited-edition collector's cards focused on the individual Doctors, their companions and their greatest foes. Each set of 15 cards comes in a special collector's pack that is guaranteed to contain every card. The Second Doctor set features companions Jamie and Zoe, the TARDIS and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, alongside nine terrifying monsters including a Yeti, an Ice Warrior, the Cybermen and the Dalek Emperor, plus rogue Time Lord the War Lord. Hidden inside one in every ten collector's sets is the rarest card Battles in Time has ever produced: a metal vortex card, in a super limited edition of just 100 worldwide. Only a hundred collectors will ever own one — and there is no other way to get it. The Second Doctor cards are printed in the original black and white on silver foil, in strictly limited-edition sets of 1,000 pieces worldwide. These cards are not available anywhere else.

The original version of the TARDIS was modified at the end of the show’s third season. The design of the roof was altered so that it was flatter, and new doors were made with a new lock. This version first appeared in “The War Machines” and was used throughout the Second Doctor’s tenure. It was given a refit before “The War Games”.

In ‘The Happiness Patrol’ the Doctor and Ace land on the planet Terra Alpha, where sadness is against the law. In an effort to enforce joy, Helen A’s Happiness Patrol paint the TARDIS pink. After the Doctor helps with the rebellion, normal emotions are restored and the TARDIS is painted blue again.
